Stop Discrimination Towards VESC Children
It is sad but true. Our children with learning disabilities are being discriminated against. If you think about it, every school has Honors Classes. But there are no VESC Classes. Why is that?VESC stands for Varying Exceptional Self Contained (VESC) - Standard Diploma Education. There 100's of children that needs these classes in-order to get a fair education.
The federal (No Child Left behind (NCLB) Act) of 2001 is designed to ensure that children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education. The program provides options to parents of students enrolled in schools that are in need of improvement, corrective action, or restructuring. This is totally FALSE. Our children with special needs are being left behind.
My mission is to bring parents and teachers together to stand up for (VESC) children and to re-start the ESE Programs in our schools. I cannot do this alone, but together we can make changes. Please sign my petition and support our children with special needs.
I've started the petition "Chairperson of the Pinellas County School Board and Carol J. Cook: Re-Instate the VESC Program for Pinellas County" and need your help to get it off the ground.
Will you take 30 seconds to sign it right now? Here's the link: Click Here to Sign Petition
