2012 Champaign-Urbana Area Easter Egg

Urbana Park District’s Egg Hunt with a Splash: The area’s only egg hunt in the water! Register by March 24 for this annual favorite event, which takes place on Saturday, March 31 at the Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center. For kids 2-13; various age group hunts will be held at different times (see Web site for complete info). The fee is $6 for residents and $12 for non-residents and includes admissions to the Egg Hunt plus one daily admission pass. Register by calling 367-1544.
Easter Egg Hunt at Rantoul Public Library: Sat., March 31. A 50-minute program for ages 8 and under; includes stories, craft, indoor egg hunt. Slots every 20 min., starting at 10 a.m. Free, but sign-up required by Thursday, March 29 at 5:00 p.m., Call 893-3955.
Eggstravaganza in Mahomet: Children 0-10 will have the opportunity to meet the Bunny and have fun with a good ole’ fashion egg hunt. Saturday, April 7 at Grace Church, 800 W. Oak St. Pre-registration is required; deadline April 5. $5 per child; proceeds benefit Mahomet Parks and Recreation District Scholarship Fund.

Tuscola Easter Egg Hunt: Head out to Ervin Park in Tuscola on March 31. The festivities start at 9 a.m. Free, for ages 2-10.
4th Annual Monticello Recreation Easter Egg Hunt: March 31. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. at Burke Park (by Aquatic Center); hunt begins at 10 a.m. $1/child. For ages 10 and under; two age divisions will be held.
Egg-stravaganza in Savoy: The Bunny will make a stop at Prairie Fields Park in Savoy on March 31. In the event of inclement weather the Egg-Stravaganza will be held at the Savoy Recreation Center. Ages 1-4, 10:00 am; ages 5-8, 10:30 am. Easter Eggstravaganza in Fisher: Inflatables, Egg Hunt, Food, and Lots of FUN! Bring the whole family out! March 31 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Fisher Fairgrounds. Sponsored by Fisher Foursquare Church.
Meadowbrook Community Church 12th Annual Easter Carnival and Egg Hunt: March 31 from noon to 2 p.m. For children up to age 12. Admission is free; at registration, every child will receive a coupon for a free hot dog, chips and drink.
Champaign Park District’s 22nd Annual Egg Hunt: Head to West Side Park on April 7 at 11 a.m. (sharp) in downtown Champaign where thousands of eggs wait to be found. Free hayrack rides will take place before the event from 10-10:45am and there will be a special guest on site for all the little egg hunters to enjoy! For children ages 12 and under; divided into age groups. Free.
Douglas Park Egg Hunt: Noon, April 23, for ages 1 to 8. The egg hunt will start promptly at noon – remember your basket for all your goodies. Sponsored by Champaign Park District; free.
